We are delighted to announce that we have joined the One Percent for the Planet movement to donate 1% of our yearly turnover to environmental causes.
What is 1% for the Planet?
The organisation was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, the owner of Blue Ribbon Flies. They aim to address pressing environmental issues by encouraging businesses and individuals to commit to giving back to the planet.
The concept behind 1% for the Planet is simple but powerful: member companies pledge a minimum of 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes and nonprofits. This commitment ensures that these businesses contribute a portion of their monthly profits to support environmental conservation and sustainability initiatives. The aim is that those businesses help to give back where they have taken from the earth’s resources.
The organisation serves as a bridge between the business community and environmental nonprofits. Companies that become members gain access to a network of approved environmental nonprofits, making it easier to find and support credible projects that align with their values and objectives.
For environmental nonprofits, 1% for the Planet offers a reliable funding source from committed businesses, allowing them to focus on their conservation efforts rather than constantly seeking funding.
Over the years, 1% for the Planet has grown significantly, and its membership includes businesses from various industries worldwide. The organisation's collective impact has resulted in substantial contributions to environmental causes, supporting projects related to biodiversity conservation, climate change, clean energy, environmental education, and more.
By encouraging businesses to be more environmentally responsible and facilitating their contributions to critical environmental projects, One Percent for the Planet plays a vital role in protecting the earth by promoting sustainable practices.
Why are we doing this?
We see part of the cost of business as giving back to the environment and its people; this is why we joined the 1% for the Planet movement.
Our membership directly impacts global philanthropic efforts in the most critical areas.
The cost of our membership is not being passed on to you, so by supporting us; you are also helping to support the Planet at no additional charge. You can read more about the 1% for the Planet initiative on the link above.

And so, we don’t have facts and figures for you yet, but we will highlight some of the causes we donate to soon. We’ll do this for our own accountability and to raise awareness - because we think you should sign your business up to help, too.
